Project Kick-Off of Epicor ERP 10.2.200 Implementation – PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya

PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya (CSD) is a gold mining and processing company, a subsidiary of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM), which operates since 2010. The company’s objectives are currently focused on increasing shareholder value. The company’s strategy is to focus on core commodities, gold, through increasing production output to increase revenue and lower unit costs. PT CSD plans to sustain growth through trusted expansion projects, strategic alliances, improved reserve quality, and value enhancement through downstream business development. PT CSD will also strive continuously to lower costs by operating more efficiently and productively and increasing the capacity to capitalize on economies of scale, as businesses grow to create sustainable benefits

As part of the program to improve some of the company’s strategic objectives, PT CSD decided to implement a new ERP system to replace the old ERP system that is no longer usable and to maintain the sustainability of a good business system and enhance the role of the system in the core business processes of the company, and also provide added-value in providing appropriate information for management as a means of decision making. In this case PT CSD has appointed PT Rajawali Adikarya (RAK) as a partner to running the implementation of new ERP system using Epicor 10.2.200 as well as build business improvement in various aspect, especially for business area which is still not optimal yet.

The main target of the Epicor ERP 10.2.200 Implementation in PT CSD is to build an integrated system covering the areas of Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Production Mining, Production Manufacture, and Human Resources, as well as to enhance the role of the system in the core business processes of the company and add value to business processes in PT CSD especially for areas not covered in previous ERP applications. With this condition it is expected that the monitoring and analysis process of data and information needed can be done easier from one single trusted sstem, which will ultimately facilitate the CSD Users in the collecting and processing data process into information needed by the Management in making business decisions (Cost Control and Production Control comprehensively and integrated), and produce reports needed by Management more quickly and accurately

Based on the agreed approach by CSD and RAK Management, it is decided whereby CSD will retain and use the Ellipse system during the implementation of Epicor ERP Implementation, so that the work activity of Epicor ERP 10.2.200 implementation is divided into 2 (two) stages / phases. Phase 1 (one) is Save Ellipse CSD and Phase 2 (two) is the main activities of Epicor 10.2.200 Implementation Work, where the prerequisite for commencement of work phase 2 is the success or completion of the work in stage 1. The work Phase 1 – Save Ellipse CSD was started on May 24, 2018 with the kick-off meeting which was also conducted at Site Office CSD, attended by Finance Director PT CSD – Bapak Darnoto, Project Manager PT CSD – Bapak Sugeng Abadi, Deputy PM – Bapak Mathofany Boer, as well as some users PT CSD and RAK Consultants. In general, Phase 1 work has been completed and marked by the re-running of the CSD Ellipse system operationally on Monday, July 9, 2018 on the dedicated CSD server and maintenance of the system was also done independently by IT Team CSD.

Further, phase 2 of Epicor ERP Implementation Project at PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya (CSD) has also started, marked by Kick-Off Meeting on Friday, July 27, 2018 held at CSD Main Hall (Aula), in Cibaliung – Pandeglang, Banten. Kick-Off Meeting was inaugurated by President Director of PT CSD – Bapak Dedi Samsudin, and also was attended by Operation Director of PT CSD – Bapak Rustaman, Finance Director of PT CSD – Bapak Darnoto, where the entire Board of Directors of PT CSD as well as a Project Sponsor of this Epicor ERP Implementation Project. The event was also attended by CSD Project Manager – Bapak Sugeng Abadi, Deputy PM – Bapak Mathofany Boer, and all the CSD employees involved in both SME and Key User projects, as well as Epicor consultants from PT Rajawali Adikarya (RAK)

With Kick-off meeting of Phase 2 Epicor ERP Implementation Project that already involving various users from various departments, it is expected that all parties will get the same understanding foundation of the project objectives, description of the project implementation methodology, and awareness of the importance of Change Management process so that all the parties know that the ERP system changes are in progress. With this condition is expected that Project team from both parties (RAK and CSD) can synergize and work together well for the achievement of the project objectives and provide benefits for PT CSD optimally.

RAK will maintain the trust that has been given by CSD by implementing the ERP system of Epicor 10.2.200 with the best, in order to realize the CSD objective in the use of ERP system for both operational and managerial benefits. This is done in orde to a long-term partner with CSD in terms of providing Professional IT Implementation & Consultancy Services that will add value to the CSD business continuity and sustainability.
